Splined-Corner Box from Michael Petyo
These photos were submitted by our customer Michael Petyo - Patternmaker and feature our JB-101 stop hinges.
"I learned how to make splined-corner boxes 41 yrs. ago while serving my apprenticeship under a Master Patternmaker who was once the General Foreman to 400 skilled Craftsmen at General Motors Research Center. The box was a gift to my son-in-law after he received his Law degree from Georgetown.
The 5.25" x 7" x 2.75" box is made of Red Oak and Bubinga. The turned lid is an original. The beautiful wood was fall-off purchased from CF Martin Guitar many years ago. Brusso's 101 stop hinges are the ideal hardware choice for any kind of lidded box. In fact, Brusso's entire product line is outstanding!"
