"This is a jewelry box that I made for my beloved wife for Valentine’s Day. It is made primarily from Goncalo Alves, and the splines are Bocote, the latch inlay and trays are Macassar Ebony, and the dividers are Tiger Maple. There are a lot of firsts for me in making this box. First time dimensioning lumber by hand, first time using frame and panel construction, first time making splines, and the first time I’ve used Brusso Hardware (but certainly will not be the last). The latches and hinges are first rate! I really spared no expense in making this jewelry box. I wanted nothing but the best for my bride."
