Customer Submitted Box from Ed Rizzardi

Posted by Brusso Hardware LLC on Aug 17th 2016

Here are some photos of a keepsake box submitted to us by Ed Rizzardi made for his 3 year old grandson. The box features Brusso's quadrant hinges and latch. Ed sanded and polished this box to 4000 grit and finished with an oil mixture he made himself.  It is made from Honduras Mahogany and Curly Maple; the case has exposed dovetail joints and finger joint construction was used on the inside tray.

Ed Rizzardi was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and moved to California in 1950. He began woodworking when he was 12 years old and took summer workshop classes, realizing early on that woodworking was in his blood. He then took engineering and drafting classes in high school and college. Afterwards at the age of 26, he officially began his woodworking career.
